Multiple Fossil Fern Plate Age: Pennsylvanian Formation: Llewellyn Formation Location: Near St. Clair, Pennsylvania Size: Plate is 12 inches across Price:$31.00
This is a distinct plant fossil. It is a striking plate of fossil fern fronds from Pennsylvania. The fossil plants are replaced with the mineral Pyrophyllite, which gives the fossils their stunning white color. The ferns have great detail and contrast beautifully with the black matrix plate. One long frond is well showcased on the plate, along with many other fern fronds. This is a very cool grouping of displayable fossil plants from the Coal Age.
