Camptostroma roddyi Age: Lower Cambrian Formation: Kinzers Formation Location: York County, Pennsylvania Size: Campto is 1.5 inches across Price:$47.00
This is a very detailed example of a very rare echinoderm. It is a distinct Camptostroma roddyi from York County, Pennsylvania. Camptostroma are some of the earliest known types of echinoderms - you may never see another Lower Cambrian echinoderm. These enigmatic, Medusa-like animals had a distinct plate structure, radial design, and an unusual orange-brown coloration (in the Kinzers Formation). This fossil has fine detail preserved and displays well on the large matrix plate. Both the distinct plate structure and radial detail are easily seen on this specimen. This is a wonderful example of this classic Lower Cambrian echinoderm.
