Knightia eocaena Age: Eocene Formation: Green River Formation Location: Kemmerer, Wyoming Size: Fish is 4.3 inches long Price:$38.00
Here is a very nice fossil fish. This is Knightia eocaena from the Eocene of Wyoming. This large fossil herring is complete and preserves fine detail. The bone structure of the fish is wonderfully defined. The eye socket of the fish is easily seen, and the fins are nicely displayed. The striking, dark brown color of the fish contrasts beautifully with the cream-colored matrix. The fossil is well showcased on the large, semi-oval plate of shale. This is a very displayable example of Knightia from the Green River Formation.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
