Name:
Eretmocrinus tentor Age: Mississippian Formation: Gilmore City Formation Location: Gilmore City, Iowa Size: Plate is 6 inches across Price:SOLD
Here is a nice pair of crinoids from Gilmore City, Iowa. Two large examples of Eretmocrinus tentor are preserved on the plate. Both crinoids are beautifully displayed, with the long arms slightly splayed open, which is unusual. The long anal sacs are easily seen. The fossil echinoderms have good color and contrast and are naturally positioned on the large, natural plate of shale. This is a very affordable pair of large crinoids from a classic fossil locality.
