Here is a very nice crinoid specimen from the Mississippian of Missouri. The crinoid is Uperocrinus aequibrachiatus. This distinct crinoid exhibits very fine plate structure. The echinoderm is very 3-dimensional. The off-white color of the fossils contrasts nicely with the natural orangish-brown matrix. There are many other crinoid fragments on the block of limestone. This is an interesting echinoderm specimen from the Upper Burlington Formation.
