Name:
Evactinopora radiata, Horn Coral Age: Mississippian Formation: Fern Glen Formation Location: Jefferson County, Missouri Size: Plate is 2.1" X 3.2" Price:SOLD
Here is an interesting plate of fossils from the Mississippian of Missouri. There a fine example of Evactinopora, a star-shaped bryozoan, and and a nice solitary coral on the slab. The fossils are quite 3-dimensional and exhibit fine detail. The points on the bryozoan are easily seen - it is nine-pointed. The fossils have good color and contrast and are nicely positioned on the plate of maroon-colored limestone. This is a very good example of this strange bryozoan and horn coral from the Fern Glen Formation.
